Why does oil get separated in a scrub?
The separation of oil, i.e., Oil Segmentation, you might notice in our Rosehip & Shea Butter Exfoliating Herbal Scrub, is entirely normal. This happens because we prioritise using natural ingredients and avoid synthetic stabilisers that would artificially bind the oil and water components together.
The oils and butter in the scrub, such as shea butter and jojoba oil, are lighter than the other ingredients and naturally rise to the top over time. To ensure you get the full benefits of all the ingredients, simply mix it well before use.
