Should I skip washing some vegetables before storage?
There are some veggies that you can avoid washing and storing like mushrooms, potatoes, onions, berries, leafy greens. Soak them for 15-20 mins before cooking, potatoes and onions can be peeled and soaked for a few minutes. Wash with plain water and then use. For other veggies like capsicum, make sure you pat them dry properly before storing them in the refrigerator so that there is no water residue left on them.
