We do use lye in our soapmaking process; however, the finished product i.e. our soaps do not contain any lye.

Lye is a naturally occurring alkaline substance essential in soapmaking. It transforms during the process, reacting with oils and butter, converting entirely into soap and glycerin, a natural moisturiser. So, while lye is necessary initially, it's not present in the final product.
